Chanter 225A, 164-165

  1. Population and dissenters: There are about forty Families in my Parish. There are no dissenters of any denomination; nor any licenced or other Meeting House.

  2. Public or charity schools: There are two Fields, of about four Pounds a year, left by Richard Reynell Esqr first for the Repair his family Burial Place, next for the Repair of an House commonly call’d the Parish Alms House and the surplus to be laid out for the teaching such poor children their mother tongue as the Rector of East Ogwell for the Time being shall think fit to appoint.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no Alms House, Hospital or other charitable endowment But what is mention’d before: nor do I know or have heard of any Abuse or Fraud in the management of the said Bequest.

  4. Residence upon cure: I reside personally upon my cure, and in my Parsonage House.

  5. Curate: I have no curate.

  6. Divine service at other churches: No.

  7. Frequency of divine service: On Sundays and Holidays with a sermon twice every Lords day.

  8. Frequency of communion: Four Times.

  9. Number of communicants: There are about thirty Communicants who usually receive: there were about forty at Easter last.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children are catechiz’d in the Summer Season, and at other Times, as often as the Parsishoners can be prevail’d upon to send them.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There is no Chapel at all within my Parish.
